Gulf Sea Logistics Notes
Short, sourced and practical reading.
Our first issue focuses on three practical questions: is the cargo ready, what does the quote cover, and what do the delivery terms mean?
01 · Dimensions, doors and loading are different questions
A package fitting the total volume does not establish that it passes through the door or can be safely stowed. Prepare packed dimensions, piece weights and the handling plan together. Confirm the actual unit and site constraints separately.
Read the detailed guide02 · Read the scope before the total
Two quotes in the same currency can cover different service points. Port-to-port and delivery-to-address are different scopes. Separate included, excluded and unspecified items; obtain written confirmation rather than treating unknown charges as zero.
Read the detailed guide03 · Paying freight and bearing risk can differ
Do not read delivery terms only through who pays freight. Delivery, risk transfer and insurance are separate topics. Compare two terms and note the named place and details requiring confirmation in the contract.
