Logistics Notes · Issue 02

Three short readings on measurement meaning, schedule sources and mark distinctions.

01 · Two different reefer heights

Inside height and stowage height to the load line are different fields. Read them separately in source-backed examples; do not transfer one series to another unit or manufacturer. A dated technical example does not establish current availability.

02 · What does selecting a carrier confirm?

Port area, actual terminal and carrier are separate decisions. A listed carrier does not establish service at that port, a sailing on that date or cargo acceptance. Complete the check in the official schedule and with the authorised operator; do not read an estimate as a confirmed booking.

03 · 9A is not a new class

Distinguish class, label model and other marks. 9A is a battery hazard-label model; the class number is 9. The red-hatched rectangular battery mark is different. Recognising the distinction does not automatically select the required label for your product.
